Works like the original part

This was a direct replacement latch for my 2003 Winnebago Adventurer motorhome on the outside of the storage compartment.

Pros
  • Finally bought
Cons
  • Long wait

Fast installation is best in furniture parts & hardware

Didn't think it would be so easy to install. Eas is much faster than expected. 2004 Winnebago field tripist. I had to drill out the rivets. You can use screws for reinstallation but I went with rivets.

Pros
  • Many will fit
Cons
  • Very expensive

Fits in the interior like the original

Works perfectly and easy to install, simply remove the handle latch back plate, disconnect the connecting rod, drill the rivet flange and punch out the old rivets and insert the rivet. 5 minutes work.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Newer model could have been chosen

Oversized Cart - Furniture Parts and Hardware

Holes Match. They are long enough, the thickness of the square hill is too thick. The door needed to be sanded eight inches and the slots widened. Let's see how neoprene holds up.

Pros
  • Stable Test Results
Cons
  • Nothing Here

OEM Exact Match - Van Parts & Accessories

Seemingly perfect match for OEM latch size and function. I spent more on the rivet tool than the latches. EZ installation. Dismantle old and assemble new in less than 30 minutes per door.

Pros
  • Large Selection
Cons
  • Long Lead Time

Direct replacement for the 2004 Freightliner Revolution bin door.

I could have bought all the metal latches from FMCA magazine but supply was limited and the original latches lasted 18 years (latches were kept clean and lubricated with silicone spray).

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • So far so good

Great replacement for 2007 Journey

Whilst I always prefer free these fasteners are affordable and a great OEM replacement. I don't know how they will perform over time, but the dealer's service life is 2-3 years - the plastic fastener becomes brittle and breaks. Have high hopes for them. But I'd like to take some spares with me, just in case.

Pros
  • handy
Cons
  • annoying

You will need it!

WHY does an engineer have to develop devices with so much trouble and trouble as these flimsy door latches? The good news is that they can be replaced! On my Coachmen bus, her body is slightly thicker than the original latches. To install I have to slightly enlarge the existing hole they are attached in. It's a bit of work, but it complicates the simple task of removing/replacing. On my landing doors, I have better access to the top latches than the bottom ones. So if the bottom latch is…

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Obsolete model
