I am very happy with this purchase, I will advise everyone!

Having sold my Nikorr16-85, I already found the Nikorr18-200, but then a mailing with a review came in. I liked the photos from it. After looking at the market, I found this lens. For 19k with delivery, I bought a new one, and Nikonovsky wanted to buy a used one for 20k. I had a lot of different lenses, Nikorov’s zooms (I tried fixes, not mine) and there was a Sigma 30 1.4 (I didn’t like it, because of the unpredictability with focusing) . And this one is very personal, the focus is accurate…

Pros
  • Focal, weight, filter diameter, quiet focus motor, work in counter.
Cons
  • The focus ring is not customary in the other direction, but this is a trifle.

Really great lens!: Camera lenses

Received this lens today after ordering it on Friday afternoon; Revain simply offers a great service again! I bought this lens for my Canon Rebel XT. I ordered this lens after reading all the reviews here and several other places. This is a replacement for the Tamron 18-270mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC LD that I received last Friday. The sound of the Tamron 18-270 was exactly what I was looking for, the mechanical properties of the lens are abysmal. Some said the lens would shrink when zoomed in or…

Great lens except for the Err99 message.

I bought this lens about 4 months ago as a Christmas present for my wife to use with her Rebel XTi. When I received it I was very happy with the quality and build of the lens. It has a beautiful matte black finish and feels extremely durable and sturdy. The OS worked great too, reducing blur by up to 3 stops in manual situations for me, maybe more for those who can hold on tighter than me. My wife LOVES the lens because her shooting modes are wide (landscapes) and then she can suddenly switch…

Sigma lenses

We've been using this Sigma AF 18-200 lens for a few months now. We recently compared the Sigma to a Canon 28-135mm lens with Canon 30D image stabilization. We took photos alongside 28mm and 135mm lenses, set ISO 100 and the camera in program mode. Our lenses were set to autofocus with image stabilization turned on. The good news, which I really wasn't expecting, was that both lenses produced nearly identical images - I was confident that the Canon optics would far outperform the Sigma optics…

From an absolute amateur: I love this lens

While I'm still learning about SLR ropes, I'm a very diligent, picky shopper and I won't buy anything over $30 unless I've done my research Work. Yes, I'm one of them. I wanted to find a good general purpose lens for the Rebel XTi: I'm spending time in a remote home in Alaska and California's Central Valley. My wife and I love to travel. I don't like carrying a lot of things with me. I want quality glass, but I know I don't need professional equipment. Here are some of the things I learned from
