ATTENTION. NOT FOR CHROMOBOOKS AT ALL

I received this unit and I was very happy with it. The day after I received it, I tore it apart and started installing it. It is NOT COMPATIBLE with Chromebook. I've tried soooo many ways to watch YouTube videos looking for alternatives, NONE. The software for this device ONLY works with MAC OR WINDOWS. That's all. I had to return it and buy a Cricut machine because at least Cricut has the ability to download the Google app and use it with my Chromebook. I hope I was able to save someone else…

Maybe better for stamping and embossing

Great car with incredible features. However, buyers should be careful to take full advantage of this product. You must purchase a key directly from the company for $49 to use the updated features. So it's not cheap either limiting your full usage or asking you to pay more for something that should already be included given the machine itself is there. This machine contains only 1 cutting knife. Whilst it is specifically made to be used with other great blades/slicers you will need to purchase…

Does the job! - Scrapbooking and stamping

Disclaimer: I've only used it to cut vinyl before. Automobile. The physical setup is very simple. Carves out the design as neatly as I could have hoped. First, it's pretty noisy when cutting. I could see that this can be a little annoying for some, but I think it sounds pretty cool (like a retro video game). Software. Pretty standard software setup. Just download it from their website and follow the instructions. Operating the software (like everything else) takes a bit of getting used to, but…

Never read license plates.

The only reason I bought it is because Cricut had poor print and cut resolution and poor sticker cutting. The silhouette promised the moon, however. This Cameo 4 doesn't register a print and cut, I've gotten it to work maybe 3 times and I only bought it in February. I bought it for my sticker shop and I regret it. Anyone bragging about this machine must have been paid to praise it because despite my extensive knowledge in the field, I have done nothing to get this machine to work. I will try to

I hate this car wa Passion

I can't even tell you how much time and money I wasted on this thing. This is the second time I've tried to believe there's something wrong with the last one, but no, it turns out it's just a car, it sucks. It doesn't cut straight for more than a few days after opening, all of these photos I've posted were perfectly constructed straight cuts that EVERYONE comes out completely screwed up. TIME. If it's not that type of cut it won't cut at all no matter how hard, blade size or number of passes I…

Do not buy print and cut function

I bought this machine to print and cut my business labels. It was nothing but a nightmare. It turns out that this feature requires a lot of skill and troubleshooting. I calibrated the car, sat for hours on the forums, on YouTube and nothing. This picture is a test of my picture. I finally trimmed it properly, but it's still white all over. Then I tried it on another picture and it went a long way. This machine will leave you lying on the floor and staring at the ceiling for hours, wondering…

Great for vinyl cutting and sticker design :)

It was very difficult to use at first and didn't even cut the vinyl in the right places. After watching some tutorials I figured out how it works :) It's very good and everything came in nice packaging, I definitely recommend it! By the way, here are some tips: • Be careful to print the registration marks inside the print frame and not. Your image is larger or overlaps the print frame, crop frame, or registration marks. • Watch YouTube tutorials and test it out on a plain piece of paper so you…

Pros
  • Bonus content only on Amazon: digital copy of the Silhouette Guide and 10 exclusive designs. Cameo 4's silhouette is the evolution of table cutting. The machine's compact drawer conveniently houses the new integrated roll feed for fast cutting of vinyl and heat transfer materials straight from the roll. On the back of the Cameo 4 you'll find an integrated sheeter, allowing you to cleanly cut your roll of vinyl for your next project.

  • Crumpled

Cricut is way better

This was the first time I bought any kind of craft machine. I am quite tech savvy and can easily understand programming, machines and design. This car was just awful. When it was cut it was beautiful. However, one of the main problems was using the print and cut function. He never read the registration marks properly. I had to try thousands of times, turn off the machine, edit my projects, manually register my markers and nothing. So much time and material wasted. I contacted the chat only…

Pros
  • Cameo 4 differs from previous models with a new dual motor system that lets you cut in two different ways. The number one bottom bracket gives the Cameo 4 unmatched speed. It is powered by a magnetic motor that ensures a smooth and complex cut. Cameo 4 can cut or draw three times faster than previous models without sacrificing accuracy. The second car is powered by a completely different type of engine that offers unprecedented performance.
Cons
  • The packaging is ugly

THICKER MATERIALS = BREAKING DEALS. Get Cricut Maker.

I'm torn between the Cameo 4 and the Cricut Maker for using materials from vinyl to cork and leather. I even bought a 3mm Kraft blade for the Cameo 4 as it is said to be for cutting thicker materials like balsa. But as you can see in my video. This machine CANNOT CUT THICKER MATERIALS ANY MORE, although advertised as capable, and includes settings to match in Silhouette Studio. Every review I found said both machines could handle the same types of materials. It's just not true! THICK MATERIALS…

Pros
  • With Cameo's unique double slide, you can determine the tool type. The machine's ultra-intelligent system uses tool sensor technology that recognizes which tool you're using, then launches the Silhouette Studio software to automatically adjust the cutting settings.
Cons
  • Long delivery time
