Rope is a joke. You will need to cut it into 3 foot strips for them to be used remotely. For my needs I need a continuous strip at least 10 feet wide so this is not an option for me. I tried cutting it at the back and attaching a light but that didn't work either. Definitely not recommended, it's much easier to just buy string lights or aluminum channel.

I bought this product mainly because I'm trying to find the perfect solution for installing RGB LED strips, and the traditional aluminum track with a plastic diffuser is always hot has jobs. unless you get 120 leds/m strips (twice as many as the highest density RGB strip bundles).
