Excellent investment! for confectionery consumables

I really like these moulds. I make tons of cakes for events and have found that they make perfect size cakes. As long as I lubricate the innards well, I never have a problem squeezing them out. That was great. I never thought I would be trying to get all of these brownies out of a metal mold and it saves the frustration of having to evenly and beautifully cut the pieces out of the pan. I get lots of compliments on how neat they look.

The Saransk film is holding up great!

I bought this as an experiment to make jelly cubes (long story). I have other silicone molds and mats and what not so I thought why not try it? Well I did a test and this thing works as intended. The jelly sets nicely and doesn't stick to anything when removing the cubes, I just tip and slide the cubes out. I can buy 2-3 more to make ice cubes for cocktails. oh yes, saran film sticks to it like glue! it's great, i put the mold on a tray and covered to put in the fridge.

Perfect for regular bars of hand soap

I've been making cold tallow soap for my extended family for years. My old molds were hard white plastic pieces that had to be lubricated with mineral oil to get the rods to pop out. They are the perfect size for a bar of hand soap and are very flexible - they don't need to be oiled and the soap comes out easily and perfectly once set. There is no decoration unless you want to play with colors. Also, these arrived quickly. I ordered some much more decorative soap molds, some of which arrivedโ€ฆ

This is the perfect size for our custom cakes

This is the perfect size for our custom cakes but our cake recipe is so wet they are sticking a little to the bottom. You don't need to spray silicone, but we've had more success applying a small amount of cooking spray to the bottom -- be careful when spraying areas without batter, as the spray will stick to the silicone. and leaves an ugly residue that is VERY difficult (almost impossible) to remove without a thorough cleaning (leading to further problems if you scratch the silicone deeplyโ€ฆ

  • Fits

Rectangle silicone cupcake molds allow you to bake cupcakes the perfect size to fit our planet box. (The Planetbox is a stainless steel lunch box. They're awesome, and you should get one too.) The rectangular muffin tin holds a little more batter than a regular muffin tin, so it makes a half-serving of cupcakes. This will give you cupcakes that are the same size but better suited for lunch boxes or for stacking and storing. And the small loaves are delicious. Update: I also use this mold toโ€ฆ

So many uses! for baking molds

Great shape! I bought this mold because I wanted to try my hand at making glycerine soap. I had some expired breast milk in the freezer so I decided to make soap out of it! These shapes make the tiles smaller which is perfect as I was making soap for my kid. The molds use about 1 pound of glycerine. So if you have one of the standard 2lb blocks you will either need to make two batches or buy two molds. I once made soap with plastic molds and removing the soap can be tricky - not with this mold!

  • Impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging

Works great with my 3-tier mint cakes

I make some pretty infamous 3-tier mint cakes. Despite the hours of cooking/baking/refrigerating, the worst part was always trying to separate them and watching the beautiful top layer of melted Andean mint crack and shatter no matter how or at what temperature I tried to cut. And don't even think about using plastic or even cheap metal utensils to try to get those suction cups out. I was hesitant to try silicone because I'm NOT an extreme person - I want soft, chewy, almost gooey brownies. Itโ€ฆ
