Silicone Splatter Folding Insulation Strainer Review

It was great. Does not splash, easy to clean, folded nicely. I liked it until I used it to fry fish. photo after. I'm not sure why they call it a grease splatter screen. It will only take a squirt of fat unless it's very hot. How do I get a refund after the return date?

Well done. The folding handle is great and stops splashes well. Just note that this will hold in heat, just like a lid. I bought it primarily for searing scallops over high heat, but I couldn't use it without overcooking the scallops. It'll probably be great next time I simmer Italian sauce for hours.

I was sick of the splashes and hated the metal splash guards - for some reason they kept falling apart. It's great and a bonus, and then the handle folds down so you don't have to try to find a spot for a stiff handle. I didn't use it for the screen so I can't comment on that. It seems durable and have been using it for about 2 months now.

Thing is great. It's a splash guard, a colander, and you can put something hot on it. Very easy to clean. The handle folds for easy storage. Hard and not thin. The only thing I don't like is that if you grab it by the handle and it's not upside down, the handle snaps and the screen falls off. It would be nice if the handle could snap into place so it didn't matter which side is up.

Our tried and tested metal spray screen has finally had too many cracks and rough edges, so we've been looking for a new one. When we found this we decided to try something else. I'm glad we did. It covers more thoroughly than the old open wire screen; feels cool; and is easy to clean with a quick wipe down with a damp sponge. I've had about 3 metal (or stainless steel) splash guards and they all have one thing in common. HARD TO CLEAN! Not only that, after some time they all turn black and FAT and become an attractant for ROACHES! they turn brown and black. You can never get them spotlessly clean! Basically, you can cook anything in oil without worrying about fat splattering on the stove.
