Don't waste your money on this. The first one I ordered came with a large bent corner and peeling paint. The second was intact, but I quickly found quality issues: wrong size screws, misaligned holes, very brittle/thin metal, etc. Who would have thought driving four screws could cause heartburn. Avoid this product and find something better.

This is the perfect solution, just what I was looking for in a monitor stand! After unpacking I was pleasantly surprised, the quality exceeded my expectations. I also really like the height and side storage. I have a full sized keyboard and it fits perfectly underneath when I need more desk space. There were four screws so make sure you have a Phillips head screwdriver, they all screw in easily. I am very happy with this purchase! Thanks, this is exactly what I needed! :)

Side compartments are good, but not for pens and pencils. The spikes go through the mesh and the area isn't deep enough to really hold them up. If you don't mind, they fall. I think you will be fine. The top is not as durable as I would like. My monitor tends to shake a bit. It doesn't look like it's going to fall, it's just not as grounded/stable as it would be on a flat table top. Overall I really like the product. It effectively does the main job I need it for. I will say that I have no idea why this product is made up of pieces put together like a horrible jigsaw puzzle. It really wasn't any smaller or easier to deliver. The four screws seemed easy enough, but of course in one of the places the holes weren't cut properly, resulting in one screw not screwing all the way in. I wanted something for work to hold my desktop monitor, notepads, sorter kwik and other small office supplies.
