Beautiful glass. But a nice tin with glued-on magnetic foil. You could just take a can of mint Altoids, use a magnet from those real estate agent magnets, and stick it in. Or a pizza magnet or any other magnetic sheet you can find.

This is a beautiful tin that looks well made. I love the classic Simplicity pattern on the top cap. Inside is a matte gold box. I bought two of these boxes and use one for pens and pencils and the other for manicure supplies. I think it made sense for Simplicity to reuse their vintage designs for boxes, bags and other things today. I have a few of their items alongside these boxes and I love them all.

Item arrived exactly as described and in good condition. However, I have found that the smooth metal finish makes it difficult to grip the pins and needles that are inside. I mainly use 10 and 12 gauge hand sewing needles, which are relatively small and thin. When they are flat they stick very well. So good that trying to pick it up results in you having to push the pin until you can twist it into a corner to "roll" it far enough to be grabbed. It could be easier
