Make sure you push the lime's blade all the way through. a lime that wasn't cut all the way through with your thumb. bad idea if he cuts off a good piece with his thumb lol. besides, this thing is cool

I love this little gadget! I have a similar one for apples but it doesn't have a stand/holder like this one for lemons or limes! My cut was perfect the first time but the second use was a bit tricky but my lemon was a little bigger than the first time I used it. It might help, as the saying goes, snipping off both ends a bit and the blades will go in easier. For me it works slightly better on harder lemons and tends to mash softer lemons.

I'd love to love this lemon slicer, but that's okay, alas. I love fresh lemons and eat a few every day. I like to slice them open and remove any thin membranes between the slices, so I only eat the pulp. I thought this slicer would make it much faster for me, but it doesn't. Anyway, it was longer.
