It seems time will tell.

If you're not good at quick soldering of copper tubing, I would recommend using PVC and making sure you seal the junction properly with teflon tape. can soften and melt, if you are a DIYer and don't know how to solder pipes I would recommend hiring a certified professional plumber. I will take a look and see what the results are like weeks or months after installing this new water filter today November 17th 2020. Everything seems fine, time will tell

If you are not very good at soldering copper pipes quickly, I would recommend using PVC and sealing the path with teflon tape, be careful Use around the threaded area as the device is made of hard plastic that can soften and melt. If you are a DIYer and don't know how to solder pipes I would recommend using a certified professional plumber. Great filter! Under Sink Water Filter

If you are looking for a filter for your entire home, this is it! Installation is not easy, but not very difficult either. Total time for me was about 7 hours (including an extra trip to the hardware store) but it could have been a lot less. First the bad news. I had two leaks (nipple and o-ring). I bought the unit and installed it following the instructions. A light coat of installation grease was applied to the O-ring and other connection points. I can reduce the leakage to one or two drops per minute, but when you touch the case, more water spills out. Sorry for the time and money spent on this device.
