Something on the handle wasn't comfortable at all

These scissors weren't very fast/sharp for fabric scissors (couldn't cut felt cleanly) and hurt my hand badly after a short use. Something about the handle was not comfortable at all, I have rather small hands, but I have never encountered such bad fabric scissors. I ended up using my friend's scissors because I couldn't handle hand cramps. This gave me 1 star for the price of 2 scissors. 1 star for fast shipping / good packaging. Honestly, you pay a few bucks more for a better pair of scissors

Very Sharp!: Cutting Tools

I sew A LOT and now these are my scissors. I will definitely re-order. The small is perfect for easy thread trimming, while the large is great for cutting a nice straight line of fabric. They are very comfortable to use and I have short chubby arms and a bit of arthritis so that says a lot. My husband committed a mortal sin and sewed on some papers with these scissors. Although they've lost some of the blade's sharpness, they're still relatively sharp, for which I'm grateful. I hide the next…

the large pair is great for felting, the smaller pair not so much

I bought them to cut felt. I needed small scissors for the finer details because I was worried the big scissors wouldn't cut well. I am very happy with the larger scissors in the packaging. They cut through felt easily so I think they work well with all fabrics. The smaller scissors didn't cut the felt as well which was disappointing. I haven't tried them on other fabrics so I don't know yet how well they work with fabrics other than felt. I'll go ahead and keep them to myself because the…

Works but not for long

I bought these as I'm just starting to learn to sew. I figured if I keep this up and make it a real hobby, I'll reward myself with a good pair of scissors that cost around $25-$45. I'll bring the scissors. Small scissors are great for plucking threads here and there. I've used the larger ones to cut fabric with little effort, except the top side closest to the handle doesn't seem to cut as well, giving me a dull, frayed cut. I've been told to cut the fabric with long strokes and these scissors…

Not spicy at all. in cutting tools

I bought this set mainly for small parts shears. I was using children's school scissors to cut pom pom yarn and wanted something edgier. It turned out that during cutting they were not sharper and bent (returned, not permanent). I didn't put a lot of pressure on them so I was very unhappy that they weren't very strong. If they were sharper, that little push would be unnecessary. Then I went to a large pair of scissors to cut the yarn into the best skein. They are not sharp at all and have…

I should have read the reviews

Large scissors aren't bad but are about a quarter of the price. You've barely cut the ribbon. Small scissors can't even cut a 1/4 inch piece of satin ribbon. You can't even cut a little bit! You are useless! In some dollar stores they should be half the price. I am extremely disappointed! February 24th: I'm editing my review to say the big claws are a HUGE disappointment too! At first glance they COULD work, they COULD NOT be TOO awful. through the layer. Get that. Duct tape in Cattle and Lace!

Pros
  • Combination set of 2 identical pink and white scissors: 8½" fabric scissors and 4" mini detailing scissors
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Attention needed

These are my second Singer pair of scissors. Singer has a very good reputation and I have never been disappointed with any of their products but they are nowhere near as good as the first pair. They just aren't that sharp and you have to press them against a flat surface or they don't cut well at all. The first pair of scissors were slightly longer than these and were excellent for cutting out designs, except for small curves. I wanted the second pair to stay close to the machine so I could…

Sweet. That's all. the best of cutting tools

I thought Singer was a good sewing brand and I couldn't go wrong with these scissors. PLUS, the pink and white colors might interest my little sewing apprentices. very cute color. So I went ahead and ordered 4 sets. After several uses, 2 of them started to fade. I had other scissors and that was the least I needed to take with me. You can't cut denim at all, not even jersey or cotton jersey. After 6 months, the large scissors are now completely unusable. I've tried sharpening them but to no…
