Works as advertised and well finished. Made in Taiwan. However, if you want 1/4 inch, you need to get the needle in the right position. I'm playing with painters tape and building up the edge of the guide a bit to try and get the skinny 1/4. This is a Singer product so the quality is there. Although the 1/4 Vertical Guide Hem/Staple Foot may be larger than you need. I kind of want both, just in case I need to hem something across a larger gap.

Really disappointed! I was so excited about this even feed foot and started using it straight away only to find that its plastic combs feed fabric very unevenly! I can literally hear it and watch it bounce on fabric. I can't tell if it's really a material advance, and at the moment it's more of a hindrance than a help to my project. For reference, I quilt a simple wall hanger with a cotton lining, thin cotton batting, and a cotton front.

The light sewing foot was simple and very easy to attach to the sewing machine and even produced straight stitches. However, notches/steps are not marked to help the beginner identify the seam allowance for each step. I would have thought that Singer would have provided this type identifier, OR at least noted and included information on each notch seam allowance with the instruction packet (1/8, 1/4, 5/8, 1 inch).
