Same problem. The built-in brand new control unit did not let go without a great deal of effort. Ruined my new controller

Been using for over a month. That works great. All my old and new GameCube controller models will work with my Switch with this adapter.

I didn't let go of the Gamecube controller and ended up breaking it. The controller was brand new and now I have to wait a few months for the item to be available again.

Although it required force to remove rather than prying it out of the connector with tremendous force, with increasing force I dislodged it and it took it off without damaging the controller. Works as intended, but there are better adapters. But you get what you pay for and it does the job well.

Worked great at first. Then he started locking the controllers and not releasing them. After breaking the controller trying to pull it out and take it apart, I found that it was held by clips that wouldn't let go. By breaking it I was able to get the black part of the controller, but that doesn't matter since the controller is broken.

Product worked as advertised. I tested my Super Smash Bros controller. Ultimate GameCube on Nintendo Switch with this adapter. The controller connected and worked as usual. However, when it comes time to disable the GameCube controller. I noticed it got stuck, I pulled hard on it and the internal connection on the controller tip came loose and became permanently stuck in one of the adapter ports.
