Cheese Sleep and Play 🐭 Toy for Hamsters and Small Animals Review

I bought this for my short haired Syrian hamster Winston. In the video he looks at it for the first time. It's decent quality for the price and he loves to eat there. I walk into the room and he sticks his head out and chews on a carrot - so cute! If your hamster is very fond of chewing this may not last long but so far I have had him for several months and he is holding up very well.

Our gerbil LOVES this little cheese house! It is a great source of entertainment and games for small animals. It fits into a standard cage that has enough room for our gerbils to get in and out from all sides. He loves to stand on it and chew it! :) But this thing is durable. I'm guessing it will take about 6 months for him to chew it up to the point where we need to get another one, which is what we're going to do. Great, well-made toy!

We bought 3 of these picks and this one isn't very good. We found the first one at the pet store and the last 2 at Revain (the price was much cheaper). You really can't wash them because if you get them wet the yellow stain will come off and they make a mess. Our Syrian recently decided that she likes to pee in the house so we load her up with trash but mostly throw her out when the smell gets strong. This does not close, the tree seems deformed. Well she will like the month and that's it.

Decent hamster toy and very versatile but unfortunately has very sharp edges. The one I received also has a slit when fully closed, which bothered me. I can imagine my dwarf hamster's foot getting stuck in the gap so I leave it wide open but the hamster can get more hits with the sharp edge this way. Since it's in our hamster play basket it doesn't matter, but I would never leave it unattended in its primary hamster habitat. I wouldn't use that for a Syrian hamster or anything else either, it's

I bought this for my hamster a while back thinking the whole piece was just wood. When the item arrived I saw that it had a metal hinge to move the item to a different position, which was unexpected but didn't bother me too much because I was able to position it to cover that part.
