SMAKN® Channel Isolated Optocoupler Trigger Review

Bought several of these for various automation projects. Just make sure you know what kind of amp you're dealing with - these are the little guys! Worked great for a small linear actuator

Tried another because it worked a few times and then died. All LEDs light up and do not go out. Runs on 12V so I don't know what the problem is. The chains don't go out at all.

Product works well but is vulnerable to the elements without a protective coating. In any case, it is too difficult to tighten the screws for thin wire because they are so small.

I thought they would work well with 3.3V PICs but found the coils weren't getting full voltage. They are only in a partial state when using a 3.3V trigger and need at least 5V to fire properly.

This module works as expected! I connected it to two timers, a solar panel, a solar charge controller, a 7Ah battery and a linear actuator. Has been working for 3 weeks now with no problems. I use it to control a chicken coop door and every morning it powers up and reverses direction at night. I will buy this again if needed. Good product.

The board worked exactly as expected. No documentation provided, but others have provided all the necessary information, either in other Revain reviews or online. I only gave it 3 stars because the channel on the board unexpectedly failed after only a week of use (I use it to control an off the grid chicken coop door). I ordered a second board and it has worked well so far. Let's see if it lasts longer than a week.

This is my first project with relay modules and I am happy with the results. I am using this to drive a 12v DC motor (linear actuator) in both directions. The trigger is a light barrier switch. I've attached the schematic of how I set it up. The photocell activates the relay at dusk, turning the motor on and turning it off at dawn, reversing the motor.
