Suitable for a small frame setup Canon m50

Does exactly what it should. Suitable for m50 cages. Might get in the way of the right side handle, but then again so does the HDMI cable itself.

Pros
  • understandable from the old
Cons
  • Good, but not outstanding

Great but could use some improvement

Works great when you get the angle right. Using it on a 6500 cell isn't the easiest thing in the world. I want the entire clip to be as thick as the other spots to hold the micro USB to HDMI cable.

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Something different

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It just works as it should, good.

The amazing thing is that for an Alpha 6000 cage this thing is so adaptable it actually works pretty well. It fits tight and holds the cable. I wouldn't hang a camera on it, but I'm not worried about bending the connector with it.

Pros
  • Looking forward to it
Cons
  • This is driving me nuts

Strong, durable and secure

This heavy duty clip securely reinforces the fragile micro USB connector on the side of the Sony a6500. I appreciate its adjustability. I use it to connect a SmallHD Focus monitor to my camera when using a Zhiyun Crane Plus gimbal. With all movements in the system, this cable clamp does its job.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Functionality

Do not buy for Sony A6400!

I bought this kit to use with my Sony A6400 at Smallrig's recommendation with their cage for the A6400. In particular, I use it for my HDMI cable. Unfortunately it does not work properly and should not be recommended for mounting the A6400 camera. The A6400 has a non-removable terminal door which, when open, prevents this terminal from working properly.

Pros
  • Complete Kit
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Unusually Bad Design for Smallrig

Smallrig is a great brand with one of the most thoughtful designs and manufacturing in the camera support world. However, this clip somehow fell through the QR process like a stone through flat glass: it cannot be tightened or secured against twisting. In this way, the cable itself protects the clip from twisting when you attach the HDMI cable with it and press on the cable. Until then, the clip holds the cable in a twisted position, rather than allowing it - if not damaged - to grow back to…

Pros
  • Nicely
Cons
  • Low Maintainability

Unusually poor design for Smallrig

Smallrig is a great brand with one of the most thoughtful designs and manufacturing in the world of camera support. However, this clip somehow fell through the QR process like a stone glass: it can't be tightened or fastened to prevent twisting. So when you use it to fasten the HDMI cable and slide the cable, the cable itself protects the clip from twisting. Until that happens, the clip keeps the cable in a twisted position, rather than allowing it - if not damaged - to come back to normal. In…

Nearly perfect. The product itself is well made without.

Almost perfect. The product itself is well made with no sharp edges. This is to ensure the stability of anything connected to the HDMI/micro port and to protect the inputs from potential damage when connected to the camera. The only thing keeping it from being perfect is the mount. The only thing this accessory is attached to is a screw. I think it makes sense to create a "lip" on either side of the screw that when installed will prevent this accessory from potentially twisting in an impact…
