Description of 📷 Optimized Counterweight Mounting Plate for DJI Ronin SC Gimbal - SmallRig BSS2420

【FOR DJI RONIN-SC】The counterweight mounting plate is designed for DJI Ronin SC to replace the original dovetail plate that comes with the gimbal. This plate allows you to balance long-lens setups by mounting counterweights behind your camera. 【MAIN APLLICATION】Counterbalance the front-heavy loads when you attach a larger camera or longer lenses, the plate incorporates two rows of 1/4"-20 threads for mounting optional SMALLRIG Counterweight AAW2459(50g), Counterweight 2284 (100g) and Counterweight 2285(200g). (Please note that the counterweights are not included in the package). 【PRECISE SCALE】Millimeter scales on the sides of the mounting plate help ensure precise positioning. Also, the bottom of the plate features light to heavy and lens position marks to make it easy to balance your camera. 【TOP RECOMMENDATION】The front of the plate features a 1/4”-20 threaded hole on the front to fits the original lens support comes with the gimbal. The counterweight plate also compatible with the sliding clamp on Ronin-SC quick release camera plate which helps to memory the position when re-balance the camera. 【SCRATCH-RESISTANCE】Comes with rubber cushions on the contact surface of the plate to prevent your camera from scratching.

upset. for camera and photo

Worked perfectly on my Ronin SC. After installing and trying to tighten it, it still may slip when you have a heavy load or try to put light pressure on it. The quality of the material is good, but it's no use if it doesn't fit.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Very expensive

A good replacement for the mounting plate.

I ordered a used DJI Ronin SC that didn't have a mounting plate. Bought to replace the mounting plate, works great. The only downside is that it can only slide in from the front as there is a back panel.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Repair

The perfect solution! for stabilizer bars

This is PERFECT! It's literally a regular Ronin SC clip with an extra piece of metal on the back for you to attach counterweights to. a slider that saves you from re-balancing the tilt axis. However, if you remove the small screw on the front of the clip, you can remove the slider from the original clip and put it on the new one :)

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Faulty

Just don't balance

I bought this hoping to properly balance Sony A7III with 16-35 G-Master. With the bare Ronin SC this setup is SO close to being properly balanced and I figured putting it together with some counterweights would help. I took this mounting plate, 1 x 100g counterweight and 2 x 200g to try and balance the heavy front mount. After spending over an hour on this I still couldn't balance any of the three axes properly. Using Single 200 didn't work, Double 200 didn't work, Double 200 and Single 100…

Pros
  • Stabilizers
Cons
  • Something else

With this SMALLRIG counterweight mounting plate and a set of 2 weights of 200g, 100g and 50g I was able balancing my Canon EOS-R with a medium weight (1.4lb) Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 lens. I use 350g weights in the rear position on the mounting plate to balance them on the Ronin SC. It works great in underslung mode and I can easily switch to flashlight mode and do 360 degree spins with this lens and weight combo. I can also balance the gimbal with fewer counterweights using a 1.2lb Tokina…

Pros
  • Electronics
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
