Description of πŸ”Œ SMART-O R20 Oil Drain Plug M14x1.25mm - Engine Oil Pan Protection Bolt with Advanced Anti-Leak Technology, Enhanced Anti-Vibration Function, Quick Installation, Reusable, Environmentally-Friendly

Anti-leak and Anti-vibration function: seals the oil pan from the inside and counteracts vibration. The high-tech O-ring material expands upon contact with engine oil. Engine and Oil Pan Protection: the seal and anti-vibration mechanism reduce risk of engine damage due to catastrophic oil loss caused by loss of drain plug. The special alloy exerts less wear on threads. Faster installation: the SmarTorqa simple and unified torque setting system and quick plug identification system allows a more effective working process. Re-usable: the plug can be reused multiple times. The same goes for the robust O-ring which is a permanent seal saving cost for new gaskets replacement with every oil change. Eco-friendly: reduces risk for oil leaks, less material waste due to re-usable seal, black coating is free of harmful Cr6, so parts can be easily recycled.

Great little plug in Engines and engine parts

Put this on my '06 Ford F-250 diesel. There is a 17mm plug. 13mm rear. The new cork doesn't have a magnet, which would be nice. Tightened to 27 ft-lbs as stated. So far, so good. Why not a magnet?

Works well! in Engine Parts

I had a broken drain plug and needed to retighten the pan so I was expecting a leak so I bought this bolt with an extra O-ring. So far I'm impressed. I think the o-ring really helps. If a tine is damaged, you can also buy new ones very cheaply.

Some time ago at my 1st oil change.

On one of my oil changes a while back, the mechanic lost the oil drain plug washer when it fell into the oil pan. Of course, every oil change there is checked for a leak AFTER they've changed the 10 gallons of oil that my truck needs. After changing the fresh oil, I finally decided to do something about it. I was looking for a replacement plug that would do the trick. I found this one without the loose washer ring and it had an extra rubber grommet on it. I replaced my old plug by pouring a…

It's time to replace

Looks like I'll need this after taking my Ford Excursion to the local shop for an oil change. This truck has just clocked up 70,000 miles which is not bad for a 2002 7.3 liter diesel. I have changed the oil myself in the past after taking it to the dealer and watching him put in the wrong oil. Now I thought it was time for a break, the 74-year-old deserved a break. I don't know how the person who changed the oil could destroy the drain plug that was in the truck. Found oil on garage floor and…
