Nice socks but so small!

Obviously only for small children. I ordered the largest baby size and they are tiny. I assume you should pay for your older child's fancy leg fur and get adult sizes.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Great socks but wrong size

Great socks but wrong size. The big kids were the size of a toddler. My daughter wears a large child size 2 and it was far from her size. Links is another great Smartwool for kids. On the right are the ones I had to return.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Only available in black

Worth the price for warm, dry feet!

These are the only socks that keep my 4 year old's feet dry all day. Living in Minnesota, it can be difficult to find a sock that will keep children's feet warm and dry. These socks were exactly what I was looking for and they were excellent quality. Worth the cost!

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Adorable and warm good for girls

These are the cutest socks! Easy to put on, does not lose shape, wash well. I contend that they are slightly thinner compared to adult mid-weight Smartwool socks. They offer warmth compared to everyday socks. My son's toes are always warm after a winter hike. They're also thin enough to fit comfortably in any shoe. I would buy again.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Thin

Just as good as the adult versions.

We buy a pair of these socks for our children and they are just as good as SmartWool socks for adults. It is worth noting that the difference between small and medium is noticeable. My daughter wore a small last year, wore size 8 tennis shoes and Crocs with size 10 Vasque hiking boots this winter. She will be wearing size 11 Keen boots this year so we bought her a medium sock. The small one was quite tight, the middle one was a bit loose. It's good either way, but it's something to watch out…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • No automatic

The box says Large but the sock size is XS or S.

I love fancy wool socks and my son loves them. I gave two stars because I ordered a size Large (youth shoe size 3-6 as per the size chart) and received a package marked Large but the socks look like a size S or XS. Looks like the wrong socks were put in the package. It can be seen that the socks are smaller than the package. They were supposed to be a Christmas present for my son who specifically requested them. i will return it The photo I took shows the children's environment that we already…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Expensive

The best wool socks.

We've tried many cheaper (from Revain) wool socks for kids, but they kept getting tangled and full of holes. It didn't save us any money. I finally bought Smartwool socks. They are three times more expensive but last five times better (maybe more). For example mass improvement. My kids will probably outgrow them before they wear out. I think it will save me money in the long run and the quality of my children will improve. And made in America! I am a new loyal Smartwool customer. Thank you for…
