Nice socks but so small!

They are clearly only for small children. I ordered the largest baby size and they are tiny. I assume you should pay for your older child's fancy leg fur and get adult sizes.

Pros
  • Great for my son's hockey. Only problem is I found them in store today for $5 less for a pair.
Cons
  • Durability: Some reviewers claim that these socks don't hold up well to repeated washings, which can be an issue for parents looking for durable children's clothing.

Ideal for winter hiking.

Ideal for winter hikes, but greatly reduced. The care instructions say to tumble dry low, but they should be air dried. That's my review.

Pros
  • The Smartwool Classic Hike Full Cushion Crew in Taupe M offers excellent comfort and cushioning on long hikes, making it the perfect choice for active kids who need durable socks for their active lifestyle.
Cons
  • The Smartwool Classic Hike Full Cushion Crew is only available in small to medium sizes which may not be suitable for children with large feet or older children.

walk a little new rating

I followed the size chart but they run small. My son is a size 1.5/2, ordered on average. I really have to stretch them to fit - they fit my 5 year old (size 10) much better. But the quality is excellent, next time I will order one size larger.

Pros
  • Very good socks, definitely the same quality as adults.
Cons
  • Price

It's just okay. They will be pills

I've only had these socks for about 2 months and only gotten through about 8 washes or so and they roll horribly and already have a hole in them today. But my son wears them at home and in shoes. I wouldn't buy back.

Pros
  • Perfect for the three snowy days we had, he wore these socks under his wellies and it kept his feet warmer than usual.
Cons
  • Socks at one time did not survive I. Wash - in cold water and dry on low heat.
