Turns out small. Best in Clothes

I wear 9-1/2 shoes and ordered large but these socks are in med. pinched my toes. You must order one size larger than your shoe size. The material is quite light but pleasant to the touch, just too small for me. The seller readily agreed to accept the return.

Good socks in exercise & fitness

I had to take them with me on a hike. I don't usually spend that much money on a pair of socks, but it's worth it in the end. Now I wear these socks all the time and I regret not having bought them sooner! I am a female of 8 and I have the medium ones which fit well, not sure if a small would be too small.

Construction and comfort worth the price

I've had trouble with SML sizing in the past but this brand fits very well. I wear size 6 shoes, ordered a small and was lucky as there are no women's sizes. I ordered a deep navy blue and it's a very vibrant color. It's 100% merino wool, very comfortable with a soft heel and toe.

You can't go wrong with Smartwool

Like all Smartwool products these socks are fantastic. I am not a runner and wear these socks around the house. I haven't had a single problem yet. With other brands, even expensive ones, when I walk my toes move sideways until they are almost upside down. These socks stay in place like they should.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Expandable

Great socks for clothes

Smartwool socks are great overall and this pair is no exception. For those with wool sensitivities like me, no worries. Although they are 100% wool, they don't itch at all. They also offer excellent breathability. A word of caution, if your foot size is only an 11, order XL size socks. I'm a size 12 and I don't want them to be smaller. They won't shrink in the wash, but I also recommend the low temperature setting.

Quality from the first wear

Just received the socks. As soon as I put the socks on I started to understand the amazing reviews. The socks feel fantastic. I chose XL as I wear between US 12 and 13. The size is perfect. They make my old shoes look new. I was a bit reluctant to buy a pair of socks over $15 but trust me the quality shows on first wear. I will update this if anything changes because now I will be buying another pair very soon.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Easy care

However, I don't like paying that much.

. It's worth it. I'm generally very frugal and cringe a little when paying that much for a pair of socks, but nothing compares. They are the most comfortable and work better than any socks I have ever owned. I have over 10 pairs of Smarwool of different types and I wear them all year round - this is the main advantage of high quality wool. They're especially good if you have sweaty or athletic feet. I either wash them on the gentle cycle, but mostly I hand wash them. If you want them to last…

Pros
  • Annual trial period
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Ideal for trail running

These elegant wool socks are perfect for trail running. Not per se stretchy socks but they do a great job on your feet and are comfortable even when they get wet well. (We've had a lot of rain lately.) If you're thinking about getting ultra-lightweight Phd shoes instead, I have several pairs and I find they dangle a bit on my pinky toes (like many women, my big finger is a lot longer than my pinky) because they have absolutely no stretch and are cut very straight. A crumpled cloth can start to…

  • Easy to put on
Cons
  • boring packaging

Great socks. for clothes

I wear them every day. I run warm and find my feet don't sweat in them as much as in other socks I've worn. I also really like that there are no lumps of material with seams on these socks - there are no seams on these socks. They hold up well to daily washing (washing and drying). They are easy to carry around the house. They adapt well to the foot and stay in place. I probably have about 6 pairs and have to add 2 every 4-6 months - mainly because the dog likes them too - he doesn't get into…
