Suitable for kitchen and dining room

I needed a replacement for a similar design and this helped. All I use it for is chop almonds and it does what I need it to do. Splits into more sections for easier and deeper cleaning than my previous unit, so that's a plus.

Pros
  • Blades and parts are dishwasher safe. Can be opened for easy cleaning.
Cons
  • May damaged

Assembly and disassembly is too complicated.

Too difficult to disassemble, wash and reassemble. The construction seems flimsy so I don't know how long it will last Will take time. Still haven't figured out how a cheese grater works. Came with no instructions.

Pros
  • 1 chopper tap (10.25" x 3.5" x 3.5")
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Inferior kitchen and dining materials

I was disappointed that the cheese grater broke before I could finish using it. The idea was good, but poor quality materials could not last long. The nut grinder could not grind the pecans evenly. I had to cut 3 times to get small enough pieces to use. The plastic used to make the tool was too thin or not strong enough.

Pros
  • Slicing blades spin with every pull for maximum power and productivity
Cons
  • Reliability

Slap grinder suitable for graters

I've had the slap cutter for about a year now and I'm very satisfied. I use it to chop onions, peppers, celery and other veggies. I stay away from big nuts and carrots because I'm afraid they'll break. The cheese grater suits me. I use it for my cheese in tacos, chili, and salads. I love that it can chop veggies very finely for salsa and soups to give them more flavor. I accidentally dropped my chopper just a few feet and the protection ripped so I'm extra careful now but it still works fine. I

Pros
  • 1 large sieve
Cons
  • Not as good as it says

Just use it for EASY chopping and you'll be fine.

I bought these in October 2010 to replace a similar grinder I had and used regularly for years which eventually broke beyond repair. This one looked pretty much the same and I was very happy with it at first. I love that it disassembles for easy cleaning and that it can be washed in the dishwasher. I haven't used it for perfect slicing or mathematically equal parts, just quick slicing of things like pecans. And it worked VERY well for five months. Until tonight when my husband tried to cut TOOโ€ฆ

Pros
  • 1 small mesh screen
Cons
  • Expensive

Slot for graters, vegetable cutters and slicers

This is junk. I could stop here, but let me explain. I thought all these chopper things were built the same. Before that I used a "spoiled chef" chopper which worked fine as advertised. So I got this version from Smartworks which was way cheaper. You get what you pay for. 1) This one didn't have spinning blades. 2) There was a thin opaque piece of plastic that I had no idea where it went. Oh I put it where I thought it would be and then it fell off as soon as I started chopping. I think it wasโ€ฆ

Pros
  • 1 cup for cutting
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine
