Not as good as old Serpico

Levers don't close fully, won't fit in a suitcase. The nose/bridge isn't adjustable - if it's uncomfortable, there's nothing you can do about it. No black frames. The old Serpicos didn't have these problems, they were the best sunglasses ever. Hue/color/clarity is GREAT!

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Perfect Coverage: Outerwear

These are the best sunglasses I have ever had. I hate seeing frames in my eyes and this is exactly what I need. You don't feel like you're wearing glasses, but you don't see a frame on the sides. And the polarization is great. I'm perfectly satisfied. This is my favorite couple.

Pros
  • This is awesome
Cons
  • A little fixable

They look cheap compared to the original.

I have had a pair of Serpicos for at least 5 years. I was confident in purchasing these as a replacement and was thrilled to receive them. When they arrived they had a plastic sheen on the frame. The landing was different too, they seemed bigger and heavier. They were so disappointing compared to the original that I sent them back.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Working speed

Nose pads are very narrow

Used on original Serpico sunglasses. just sit on the top of my nose. Look at photos of people actually wearing them (wish I was) and you can see how they sit uncomfortably high on their faces.

Do not ship sunglasses in a plastic envelope!

Love these sunglasses, this is my third pair of Smith Serpico because of the great fit and clarity of the lenses. However, you would think the seller would take better precautions than shipping a $200 pair of sunglasses in a plastic envelope. The box was crumpled and the sunglasses were badly bent to send back. I was looking forward to wearing them on vacation but not like this!

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Nothing here

Fantastic curved fit

The curvature of these glasses is truly incredible. They curve beautifully around my face; So the lens covers most of my field of view. Because the lens is so close to your face, almost all of my peripheral vision is covered by the lens, so less sunlight comes in from the side. And Chromapop really works. Anyway, light colors seem lighter to me. Things like yellow street signs, blue t-shirts, etc. look more alive. I'm incredibly happy with it.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Some issues

Cheap junk. DO NOT BUY!

You attracted me. Do not be fooled. 3 weeks ago I decided to order them and try them out. Never heard of Schmidt. Read some rave reviews. Thought they might be worth a try. I've looked past non-glass lenses, it doesn't usually fit me, but "anti-scratch technology" blah blah blah. They fit well. She made everything look good. About 10 days ago I noticed that the frames were bent. they bend back, but it was hopeless. Also, I don't understand how they bent. They just sat on my face or in their…

These are my new glasses.

I bought myself a present for Father's Day. Let's start with the fact that I have a big round head. So most of the sunglasses pressed against my temples or looked a bit small on my face. Another issue was that I was never happy with the lens coating. The sun is either rising or setting. I love the classic aviator style and don't like any of the Oakley offerings. Their prism lenses were very expensive and the 6 and 8 gauge models looked cheap. So I decided to try them with Smith's Chromapop…

Pros
  • Frame shape: Aviator
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Chroma pop fits accessory

PROS:1. Fell in love with her on the beach! Wow! They really make the colors pop and look so fresh! It's like watching everything in HD! As for the fit - 2. I have a heart shaped face so I always have a hard time finding glasses that fit my face shape. They fit very well and are flattering.3. The nose pieces are also amazing because they are built into the frame and don't pull my hair out when I have to wear sunglasses on my head. 4. The curved frame is perfectly protected from sunlight and UV…
