A year has passed. Operate efficient loudspeakers at 8 ohms. The correct channel and bluetooth didn't work today. So far, I've enjoyed a trouble-free listening experience with the auxiliary speaker input and output. I hope it's under warranty but I can't find any warranty information anywhere. I hate this. I read several reviews before buying and others after. Maybe I have a bad block. I wrote it off as a loss. If you receive one that doesn't work well, return it immediately. I tried fiddling with mine for months but finally gave up. I have also used 1x SMSL SA50 and 3x SMSL SA98E amplifiers throughout the house and they have worked great. But I play and play with headphones so I wanted to replace my SA50. Have been buying everything from Gemini Doctor for several years and have had good dealings

The SMSL AD18, despite its somewhat whimsical naming scheme, is an absolutely wonderful product.1. Installation is very simple, connect to the wall, connect to the computer, preferably via a digital output such as micro USB or optical, both are plug and play, no drivers required.2. It's more than capable of driving most reasonably impedance headphones, as far as I know it will work with 50 ohm sets, but it depends on how power hungry the banks are, my HE-400I gets very loud at max headphone…

Received this little amp today and am very impressed. I've searched a bit for similar amps but there are very few of them for this particular unit. I really liked the look and compact size so I decided to take a chance. I'm glad I did! I'm pretty old fashioned when it comes to amps and have always viewed the typically large, heavy construction of the AB class as the only way to get quality sound.
