It's really small!: Kitchen and dining room

THE PHOTO IS VERY GOOD! So I'm kind of ashamed. I usually look at the sizes but don't. I saw this box filled with potatoes and I was hooked. If you are looking for something to store onions or if you are handling a lot of very small potatoes. OR if you are single and only have a few potatoes.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Durable

Not well made, best for storage and organization

I ordered these because I love potatoes and can't safely store them in the basement so I bought these. It's very thin and light. It's rated for 3kg of potatoes, but I haven't had a chance to check the volume yet. I just wanted to warn you that this is very cheaply made. I'll report if this works better than a cheap canvas bag.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Slightly dented

Although it's a great concept, the door and top cover keep falling off. I haven't seen too many options with a similar use, so I went with this potato planter, but it could be a lot better. I have one for potatoes and one for onions and garlic. It doesn't seem to make the groceries any fresher than just being kept in the bag, but it keeps it ok.

Great for our purposes

Holds about 6 pounds of regular potatoes, sweet potatoes and onions/garlic. They're compact, fold well and open/close well, so we have 4 of these to ensure good internal airflow - something that others we've tried are sorely lacking. We use one for rust, one for red/gold, one for candy, and one for onions. By the way, you want to store onions and garlic separately from potatoes. This is very easy with them and spinning a freshly bought potato is also easy.

Pros
  • Same as everything before
Cons
  • Expandable

THE LOOK IS DIP!

This little potato holder looks small, fragile and like a toy. But let me tell you! It holds a full 5 lb sack of potatoes and keeps my potatoes from rotting. It fits perfectly on the corner of a shelf in my pantry. You load the box from a removable lid. Once closed, removing the potatoes is as simple as lifting the front flap and reaching out to grab them. I was disappointed when I unpacked potatoes for the first time. It looked like a joke. But its usefulness has satisfied me 100%.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • May hurt

Waste of money, doesn't help at all if kept on the counter.

Don't worry! I put this on an open kitchen counter and nothing did a great job of keeping my potatoes fresher than storing them in a bag. The only difference is that the potatoes will dry out and not rot. It's smaller than advertised, it won't fit in a ten pound sack. Of course it's now about a week past the return deadline, so I'm sticking with it. This can help keep the onion from losing its skin, but I can't think of anything else it would be good for.

Does the job but not very satisfied.

I think for the price this potato and onion storage box does the job but if you are considering buying one don't expect great quality. I have a feeling if I keep picking it up when it's full it will break, so don't move it around and lift it from one place to another like I do in the kitchen. There were only 4 stars. Big bucket size for my small family of 3 and it can be stacked too. I also wish there were more colors so I can mix and match with other containers in my pantry. So now I'll keep…

I wish it was a little bigger and better finished.

At first I was curious about my potato box. After opening the package I tried to open both carton doors, the green lid and the green door flap. Well I broke it. The hinges on the door are "C" shaped plastic pieces that snap onto pins. The tip of the "s" broke off. I tried twice to fix it with super glue but it didn't work. The door can open and close. Now it shows up when I open it. I can still use it, but wish the door was made better. I haven't had any potatoes yet. It looks big enough for a…

love potatoes Keep them fresh in these large storage boxes.

My big family loves potatoes. Puree, baked, steamed, boiled, fried or in other recipes. I buy a lot of potatoes in bulk. I don't always have time to use them before they germinate or deteriorate. I was looking for a good potato storage product. These little potato storage containers are great. Each can hold about 4 pounds of potatoes. That depends on the size of the potato. I bought 3. They are cheap and strong. They keep potatoes in the dark. They have holes for air circulation. The 2-piece…
