Not waterproof Good for sleeping bags

I am a forest firefighter and the first use of the tent on a fire was a little rain and after about 30 minutes it was completely wet inside. Not sure if it wasn't properly covered or something but it sucked being soaked in a sleeping bag all night. It was warm from the rain and it was really well sheltered from the wind. I like the side entrance and the mosquito net part of the tent. I'll use it anyway, but only with a tarp over it.

Broke on first install

I did a lot of research to find the best single bivouac tent and settled on the Snugpak Stratosphere (due to size, weight and weather protection). Unfortunately, on initial installation (a test run before taking it into the wild) it broke where one of the rods connects to the bushing (see photo). This was a big disappointment. I heard Snugpak tents and tents are good quality. Not my experience with it. I decided to return it. Let's see if Snugpak can solve this problem.

Not breathing at all

Very sad to write this review but I think this information needs to be released. The good thing is that this bivy is very light and folds down to a very small size, seems pretty solid and well made. Now a small problem with this product, the walls of the tent rest on top of your sleeping bag, or on top of you when not in your sleeping bag, causing moisture to transfer to your sleeping bag or body, which is easy to fix if the manufacturer has one built in Tires at the bottom of the tent (notโ€ฆ

Stealth camping is good for outdoor recreation

Like: Good design. I've used this on two different hikes. It's easy to set up and I recommend it for stealth camping or anywhere you need a small footprint. Ventilation is good with two vents. I've camped in the winter and every time the tent has kept me warm and dry. I found the top of the tent to be roomy, although this won't work for you if you're claustrophobic. This is a great emergency solution. Durability: 1 Star Warmth: 1 Star Lightness: 1 Star Lightness: 1 Star Value: 1 Star Dislikesโ€ฆ

Leaking during a storm, which has been repeatedly confirmed.

Maybe they should be waterproof, mine isn't. I was happy to have a jungle bag in because I stayed pretty dry but there was water down in my bivouac and not much after the storm. Likewise, it can be difficult to sleep in heavy rain when the top of the bag is resting directly on you and not hanging by your feet (some support in your legs), and hail really hurts. I thought it deserved some more testing. It was fine in dry weather and light rain. Whenever the weather turned bad, this thing wasn'tโ€ฆ

It comes with a warning label California Prop 65

This warning label is the only problem for me and I want someone to explain it to me. I sleep in this tent every day. It took me some time to get used to it. You should position your head at the top of the bag. If you do this, you can get rid of claustrophobia. This bag is big, and if you do what I said, you won't realize you're in a bivouac sack. Nylon breathes and you will see it. You need a sleeping bag that suits the weather. Now I sleep inside but leave the window open. At times we had -45

Super light shelter with thoughtful design

Received this campsite today and set it up straight away to ensure it is as advertised. Dimensions and weight of the package correspond to those declared. I packed the accommodation into a 34 liter Black Diamond backpack along with a summer sleeping bag and mat and water and food for a weekend trip and had plenty of room. The head of the bag stays upright without the help of stretch marks. lines or tariffs. (Prices are included but not mandatory for use of the shelter.) I put one of my bags and

Best in class for outdoor recreation

This is one hell of a tent cover. It's well designed, roomy enough and pretty damn light. Installation takes about a minute without pegs. The two bars are well designed and snap right into place. The result is about 2 feet of internal height. There are ventilation holes in the head area, which come out both at the front and at the back. The ventilation hole at the head of the tent has a mosquito pad attached to pegs to avoid getting wet when it rains. Additionally, it can be rolled up to allowโ€ฆ

Ultimate bivvy.

I bought this item because I wanted an ultra light sleep system that would protect me from the rain and harsh Florida conditions. At first I thought about buying a bivvy case like the one being sold in Ft. benning But when I saw the Stratosphere's design, I realized what I was missing. I decided to try the Snugpak Stratosphere because of the great reviews, the light weight and the use of poles that allow more room (and breathing room) than GORETEX tent bags. Think of this shelter as a tent/tent
