rim broken 2 days after receipt. What a rip off! I'm a scientist and I don't pay that much for scientific grade glassware that lasts 100x longer under much more stressful conditions. Come to Soda Stream, Stop Overcharging or Sell Quality Bottles!

I like the penguin vending machine but I've had 6 bottles and it ain't cheap! They keep breaking the top, I have to contact the company to see if I can get a refund because it basically defeats the whole purpose of buying a car in the first place, which is to save money on Seltzer!

I wish it would suit my soda guy because it's really well made and looks so pretty. Also, I prefer to drink from a glass. Spring. I'm sending it back but maybe I'll buy a car that fits just to use it. I'm just having fun. I can not afford that. I would like Sodastream to make a glass carafe for my device. I give 5 stars even though I can't use it because it's really good and I don't think my purchase mistake should give it a bad rating.

I have had a SodaStream Penguin for many years (since 2007 or 2008). Glass bottles have worked great for me as they hold the gas better and longer than plastic bottles - a friend had the plastic version. The penguin lasted 12 years and I replaced it with a new glass bottle model. Even better is the new screw on the top of the glass bottles. keep gas for a week! I bought this glass carafe and it doesn't fit in my Soda Stream so I'm using it for juice in my fridge now. I could buy this at the dollar store for $1. I decided to take a risk and buy a plastic carafe and again it doesn't fit. I'm giving up because the bottles I have are past their sell by date so I'm looking for another manufacturer who can make suitable bottles so I don't have to throw the whole machine away. I'm sure I'm not the only one with this problem, but I hope you don't give up…

They're pretty enough to put on the table and great to have the extras in to have filled with cold sparkling water during the hot months. I don't understand the negative reviews about not matching their car. Yes, it's good to share that they are absolutely not suitable for machines designed for plastic bottles instead of glass bottles. But just because you bought something that doesn't fit your car doesn't earn it any more star than buying the wrong tire size for your car.

This carafe works great in my SodaStream Crystal. However, the device I received was not the same as the cap shown in the picture. The lid for my original carafe has a two piece black clip that attaches to the hex lip of the carafe and the cork screws into the lid. clip.
