Tiny Wonder

I've been using a Sony Handycam for work and it's worked pretty well so far. I don't hand read and love things that work instantly. Today, with a working knowledge of these new gadgets, it was relatively easy to get started. I can export straight to my computer or create a DVD with the push of a button (although I haven't done that yet). I like it, it's easy to use, it's lightweight and it has a 30GB hard drive so there's never enough space. The only downside is that I often try to figure out…

All good except image quality

The reason I chose this camcorder is that it's a hard drive and it's a lot cheaper than the high end DCR-SR60 product. The camcorder is small, stylish, easy to use, but poor picture quality. I did a little research before buying. Many online reviews of this camcorder mentioned poor picture quality, I just didn't think it would be that bad. Great video quality at a good price.

I had no problems editing content that was transferred from my camcorder to my PC. I don't use the software that came with the camcorder, I use professional editing software and I've heard that it's best to buy separate editing software for each hard disk camcorder. The video quality is amazing. I edited my scenes and put together great DVDs, the scene transitions were smooth and impressive. MPEG2 is not as compressed as MPEG4 (Divx) but still a good standard.
