Sony Stereo CD/Cassette Boombox: Powerful Home Audio 🎵 Radio in Black (CFDS70BLK), 13.7 x 6.1 x 9 inches Review

This was bought for a blind person to use for his audio books. Bought in mid-October and no longer works. There are no return options. I would NOT recommend this if you intend to use anything over five months.

Cassette/CD player 1 year warranty. After 7 months the CD player stopped playing ANY of my CDs. I am now contacting Revain to see if they honor the warranty. Update: Revain has a 30-day return policy on this product, but Sony will replace the player at its own expense.

I initially liked this compact boombox. It was a gift from my husband so I could listen to music for my grandchildren. I used it maybe twice a month. After 8 a few months ago the cd player stopped working maybe my expectations are too high but i think the product should work more than 16 times tried to return the product and was told i need the original packaging to send it back im not the one doing it lasts empty boxes for almost a year so I'm stuck with a $60 junk.Very disappointed in Revain.

Played/worked very well for 2 months then broke down. We are very glad we bought the 3 year protection plan but it wasn't easy. With plan it took me 15 minutes then they told me sony was still under warranty then it took me 15 minutes on the phone then I would have to get a shipping label they would ship within 3 days then I had to ship boombox return. I returned it because it did NOT play MP3 or CDR/RW as advertised. The manual says that some discs may not play if not formatted properly, but NONE of ours will play, not even professional/commercially made ones. He even insisted that when regular CDs were inserted, there was no disc inside. It also has a "cheaper" sound compared to the Magnavox radio we replaced. Just received my Sony Boombox. Yes, it's not enough. Much less than I expected. I thought the sound was terrible. My big RCA stereo CD player broke and I have a billion CDs that I love listening to, especially with headphones on. This little box is easy to use once you follow the instructions. It has such a weak sound. I can not believe that. I spent €50 on it and expected a lot more. We bought a Sony Boombox 13 years ago and the difference is amazing. The old one has a very pleasant sound and is very durable. It's heavy and has survived several moves and four children. As a result, it has a few dents, but is still stable.
