Big disappointment! Android Auto Total Fail

First let me say that I read almost all the reviews here on Revain and a few on other sites before making this purchase. This device won my finalists because it had all the features on my "must have" list, including Android Auto, dual USB ports, and a capacitive touchscreen. In many of the reviews I've read, a recurring theme on the negative side has been possible issues with Android Auto, but there was enough plausible potential to suggest that these issues could be due to existingโ€ฆ

HORRIBLE UI - Makes the radio awful

The sound is good and it suits my car so I thought I had a great start. Having used it for several months now, I have a long list of complaints; They can all be summarized as a user interface. First, the steering wheel controls have a huge lag (5-10 seconds) when changing channels on Sirius or iPhone (BT or CarPlay). Thought it might have been the SW control module, I instead switched channels using the physical buttons on the bottom of the unit. Same backlog! There is no lag when using theโ€ฆ

Fit perfectly in almost every interior!

I bought a 2004 Lincoln Town Car Ultimate last summer and have always wanted to fit an aftermarket head unit for my subwoofer, but for a long time I couldn't find anything on the market that seemed subtle. enough to match the interior of the car. However, the latest XAV-AX5000 looks perfect; almost factory! I'd recommend this device to anyone who drives an old luxury car and is looking for something that isn't mostly glossy black plastic with accent lighting, over the top buttons and futuristic
