Upgrade Your Car Audio Experience 🔊 with Sony XSR1646 6 1/2 Inch 4-Way Speakers Review

These speakers exceed all expectations for the price. I listen to everything from rock to rap to EDM and some of the biggest hits from the 80's and 90's and I'm amazed. It's a safe bet if you don't know where to start. And they leave some breathing room if you want to use Sony's 50 RMS head units for the best sound.

I don't know if the speakers were the same, there were reviews, the speakers I received sounded worse than stock, the sound quality would be good if you use them would compare to the old old speaker. I tried all four speakers that I received from two packages and they all sounded the same. I hope they both ripped somewhere, but I won't buy them again.

These speakers were easy to put in my Jeep soundbar but they aren't loud. I can't hear all the songs in my playlist when driving a jeep with no roof because the speakers aren't loud enough. I always buy Sony electronics if they have a product that is close to what I want, but these speakers don't sound good at anything over 25-30 watts, the bass isn't great and I would only recommend them if you're looking to install them them in a quiet vehicle such as a luxury car or minivan.

Last month I traded in my stock speakers for these 6.5 inch Sony speakers, 2 front and 2 rear. I installed it professionally to save time. Without changing the standard head unit, I specified a maximum output of 160 watts. These speakers are 50W RMS so I figured they would equate to 160W/4. They sound clear and have a full range of sounds as a 4-way speaker. I tried every kind of music to break it up. I concluded they lacked deep bass, especially for hip-hop. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars was because the speaker covers don't protect the speakers from food, moisture, sharp objects like umbrellas as they don't usually have a speaker grill. Since my interior had red accents I painted them red so people could SEE and notice that they are very careful about getting in and out and what and where they put on the floor. Otherwise great sound quality, great bass! For the installation I followed a YouTube video which said to simply rip out the old OEM
