SOONSUN Skeleton Housing Protective Case With Quick Release Buckle 6 Review

Used in a sports car where I have to keep the windows closed while racing. I put the microphone behind the driver's seat and still heard a lot of wind noise. But better than the standard skeletonized Go Pro where wind noise ruined the video. So it's better. The next race day I put the microphone under the mat behind the seat. The car has a mid-engine so I'm hoping for engine music. The case fits the Go Pro very well.

This case does what it says on the tin, but the inner panel on the back door doesn't allow for touchscreen use. Once you remove it, the adhesive makes it difficult to remove the camera from the body because the adhesive is difficult to remove and sticks to the camera body. The only reason I'm not returning it is because it would require some trouble. Luckily I can control my GoPro with the GoPro App. So I don't think it's entirely useless.

Excellent case. I needed something durable, like the waterproof case I have, but as opposed to the waterproof case, I needed a case that would allow the camera to record audio. The GOPRO brand waterproof case is not suitable for sound recording as it makes the sound very quiet and muffled. I needed side access to connect the power adapter to record time lapse videos on my GoPro Hero 3+. This is exactly what I needed. I don't know why they asked for waterproof when the side is open and obviously won't be waterproof. I don't have a touchscreen GoPro, so I can't comment on that. Hence the 3 stars for both. Got this while filming my daughter's softball games. Specifically, the reason I bought this case is so I can connect my GoPro to an external battery pack while mounting it on the LynkSpyder and hanging it on the fence behind my homeplate.
