Description of South Berkeley Electronics PiDog2 Raspberry

plugs right into a Pi's 40-pin GPIO connector. powers the Pi through a low-Rds MOSFET for minimal voltage drop. Can power even the 3B+. Has two 2-pin JST connectors for measuring any voltage in your project up to 16V. Lots of connectors including USB for input power, a 2x2 header for input and output power, two 2-pin JST connects for measuring voltages in your project, and an Atmel ICSP connector to reprogram the PiDog

Disappointing Performance and Build Quality

My analysis of this product showed that it lacks the stability and performance expected from a single board computer... While it may be affordable the build quality is poor and it often overheats, resulting in frequent crashes. On the positive side, it is compact and easy to set up. However, overall I would not recommend this product for serious computing needs..

Impressive Single Board Computer!

The South Berkeley Electronics PiDog2 Raspberry is an amazing single board computer that we have enjoyed using for our various computing needs. Based on our own experience, we found this product to be versatile enough to function as a desktop computer, media center, or even a server. In terms of performance, it delivers fast and smooth processing that has outdone our expectations... However the only downside is that the startup process can be slow at times.
