These coils are poorly packaged and the plastic they are made of is very brittle. The Revains packaging of two boxes (I ordered a pair) was fine, the box the coils were packed in was the culprit. I wouldn't be surprised if they hadn't broken before shipping.

Out of the three received, two were bad. I replaced the rear coil on my 2001 Miat and it has worked great for 1000 miles. Then I replaced the front coil but it wouldn't start. I put the old coil back in and everything worked fine. I sent the defective coil back and got a replacement. Same result. Swapped the front and back, same result. I put the old spool back in place but now in the rear position and it started normally. Now I'm looking elsewhere for a replacement.
