Spectra Premium CU1396 Complete Radiator Review

After 2 hours of installation the new radiator is leaking due to a pinch at the end of the tank. Wasted time and money. Now I have to take it back to send it back while my car sits for another week.

I recently installed this product on my 97 Grand Cherokee it was an OEM replica I took it out needless to say it's the little things that make me happy when They only drive mods, you can't beat OEM, and I was looking for a better price with free shipping. I think I saved almost $30 buying this unit from Revain compared to all the others on eBay.

Fits almost exactly like the original. The top transmission line terminal protrudes further, but not enough to make a difference. The bottom was the same as the original. To do this you need to remove the rubber mounts from the original, but that's the only thing that isn't included. The tanks on the side are plastic, not metal. The drain plug on this one is kinda crappy too. It's plastic and looks like it's going to be a mess when you drain it.

Very good quality $100 less than local auto parts store. The bottom connection of the transmission line came loose after installation. The fitting was tight but not tight enough and the line started leaking very quickly within 2 days. I had to drain the system again, remove the bottom hose and tighten the bottom fitting. If we drove on the freeway, we could become a serious problem. Suggest using a wrench to check that the connections are tight, otherwise it may be necessary to completely…

This is by far the worst radiator I have ever bought for my 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I bought this in May 2019 and as of today the heatsink is already leaking over the ridged seam where the aluminum core meets the plastic. ABSOLUTE GARBAGE. This is more than disappointing and frustrating, especially since it is now a deep winter. Do yourself a favor and choose another radiator manufacturer. The advertised "quality, durable construction" is completely false. I will never buy here again.

It did NOT work on my Jeep as an OEM replacement. They were the right measurements, all the joints were the right size BUT they were all on the wrong side. The review here says it worked on the v8 ZJ and the Amazon garage feature said it would fit so I made the purchase but it didn't work for me. Bought for my husband on a 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee. When we bought it we knew that due to its age we would have to replace some elements but we got a good deal. There was a hole in the radiator and he couldn't go anywhere without a liter of water on hand. I checked every parts store within 30 miles of us and this was the cheapest option.
