I'm a typist with 20 years of experience. I really wanted them to be as great as the other reviewers said because I really, really didn't want to spend a lot of money on a new pair of headphones. I have been recording court hearings for 38 years. I would say they are about average although they start to hurt after wearing them for a while, too tight.

This is a workhorse. I have been using this brand for over 5 years. The only reason I ever have to replace it is because I usually drop it and step on it after a while, after that it survives the first 5 or 6 times, but after that I distort it a lot and replace it the same way.

I love these headphones. I'm a medical transcriptionist and have used many different headphones over the years. I didn't know how terrible my old ones were until I got these. My doctors are much easier to understand on them. The cord is longer than I'm used to, but I just coiled what I didn't need and twisted them. I will definitely buy them again if I need another pair.

Definitely worth getting if you do any type of transcription. Most of the students in my class find that they need high quality audio (music reading) headsets. It wasn't until I did some research that I discovered that what makes headphones good for music makes them sound messy for transcription. They give me good clean voices all the time. I'm SO glad I found her!

Good inexpensive basic headset. I use for regular transcription. I'm still trying to "put them on" since my ears hurt a bit. The sound quality is good. Nice long cord.

I ordered one as a backup for transcription at work and another for personal use. In order to reduce the loud sound of the TV at home, we placed two small speakers next to the chairs, which are connected to the "audio output" of our TV via a Y-connector. Each headset then connects to our separate speaker, allowing us to control the volume when changing programs or playing loud commercials.
