Very thick rubber gasket worked fine after I modified the valve covers

Very thick rubber gasket worked perfectly after I modified the valve covers. I had to grind down the metal protrusions that keep the valve cover from being pulled. The spacers more than make up for this as they were the same thickness as the cleats.

Pros
  • Solid construction
Cons
  • Something is wrong

The Revain Automotive database is incorrect for this gasket kit

Just missed the return deadline. The seals appear to be in excellent condition but there is no point in unpacking them. The Revain Automotive database is incorrect that this gasket kit will fit a 1998 GMC Sierra C3500 454/7.4LJ engine. Spaghetti style rubber gaskets are used for this series of truck valve covers.

Pros
  • Always liked
Cons
  • Keep calm

Perfect for Chevy - Engines and Engine Parts

Had trouble finding gaskets for Trick Flow heads and valve covers. Both contact surfaces were level. So far they are better than the best in the FelPro range and steel reinforced cork/rubber gaskets. If you are building a large unit with a high volume oil pump, make sure the rear drain holes are large and tapered. That's where the leaks come from. I can recommend these pads.

Pros
  • Tough finish
Cons
  • Was damaged
