I have used this several times while open water swimming at Lake Michigan. I was nervous the first time I put my phone in a dry pocket but it really keeps it dry! I can put in my sandals + the clothes I wore on the bike to the beach, put my phone + headphones + keys in a dry bag and go. Great product that makes me feel a lot more comfortable in open water.

We bought one in each size. There is not much difference between them, so buy the size according to your weight. The inner leaf was a great idea instead of just blasting the bag itself. I love the float but actually bought it to take on a cruise to keep some valuables dry. When I went to try it yesterday I couldn't find where the dry part was. The instructions say throw things in, fold several times, fasten. I thought it was some kind of zipper - how else is everything supposed to stay dry? - Oh no. My cell phone was soaked, as were credit cards and cash. Can someone tell me how to use this? Am I doing something wrong?

This is a good choice for two main reasons: (1) it's a canvas/plastic material, which is more durable than regular thick plastic versions; and (2) it is a bright orange color that is very easy to see during a foggy morning swim. I have and use several buoys sold by Revain and they are basically the same - work well for a while then start to fail due to wear, punctures or slow leaks. I came across this one that claims to be more durable and I have to say I'm very impressed.
