Big waste of money

That icing was a waste of money! The frosting was peeling off the clean cookie dough. The color was nothing like the picture. The glaze was so thick that it had to be thinned. After mixing well, the frosting was so full of bubbles that it was almost impossible to apply! Not only did I lose the cost of the frosting, I lost all of my cookie costs. I will never buy this brand again!

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Dark Blue Off-Black

Came with a very cracked lid, was wrapped tightly in grocery bags but what really bothered me was the glaze looked bluish. I don't know how a cracked lid could have affected the glaze itself, drying out and all. Maybe I just didn't stir it enough, I just know it's a little speckled, a little iridescent and matches my natural indigo sketchbook. The mug in the photo has 3 black layers on the inside, with Amako clay on top with a red mass.

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Big and Bulky

Bright white with good coverage

This is a very bright white and opaque varnish with a few coats. I've always had good experiences with Speedball products. If you use them as directed on the "High in High Fire", "Low in Low Fire" label and follow the recommendations, they are almost reliable. Some of them last a little longer than others, so read the specs and think about how you should use them beforehand. Some require heavier application than others, or one coat may be enough. Read product information, take notes whenโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Excellent structure
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
