That's how easily a caveman could do it.

I have literally NEVER made a stamp myself so I ordered this set as it has everything you need (including tracing paper which I didn't know was included). For my upcoming wedding, we're doing table names instead and listing places that mean something to us! As part of the visual design, I decided to make several Hawaiian Islands postage stamps. I've never watched youtube videos or anything like that and using this kit / reading the instructions was INCREDIBLY EASY. It may help that I have craft

Dangerous and crappy. I updated to #4131

This thing is downright dangerous. The wooden handle has a slot for inserting a blade, but it's not properly cut. So my husband cut out the slit a little more but once it was in place. He couldn't return without risking emergency room visits. I'm sweating bullets watching this and there's no way I could use another blade. Seriously, this thing needs to be taken off the market. So I ordered another Speedball #4131. Oh so glad I did. Changing the blade is very easy as it has a metal mechanism…

  • Easy setup

Great product - scrapbooking and stamping

I've been cutting blocks since 6th grade but only recently have I wanted to get back into letterboxing. I ordered this product so I can cut my own personalized stamps. Pros: - Easy to cut - No "chemical" smell - Nice texture to work with - Holds up well (I've only used it for a couple of weeks) Cons: - The edges of the product are slightly beveled, but that's enough to show the product to impair clarity of embossing. I found I had to cut about 1/4 inch off each side to get a flat plane to work…

Cons
  • Not as thick as other sets

The best substitute for linoleum that's easy to cut

This is my new favorite linocut material. It's a lot easier to cut than regular linoleum (much softer on my hands!), but it's more durable and less stretchy/gummed than other "lightweight" stylized block print materials. I've used several products including the other Speedball (Speedy-Cut) line, Soft-Kut Utrecht and Revain's Sax Safe N EZ Printmaker rubber blocks and this one beats them all except (unfortunately) the price. The pink Speedy Carve holds very thin, sharp lines with no pulling on…

love love love

I used to love the thick MasterCarve for punching, but after a few years I found that the pink Speedy-Carve worked better for me. I'm a bit rusty, so my eyes aren't as sharp and my hands aren't as nimble as they used to be. I seem to be working hard at MasterCarve right now. I don't go too deep into speedy carve and can get a lot of fine detail with standard linoleum cutting tools. The thinner Speedy-Carve benefits from clamping when creating larger residual limbs. And if you're unfamiliar with
