Strange fit, good product.

All in all, this is a great suit for weekly swim sessions made from very durable material. Also a reliable brand, I've been using Speedo for a long time. The only complaint is that this particular style sits quite low in the back and at times you feel like you're showing too much.

Good quality, comfortable, MUCH smaller than the size chart says

Size is MUCH smaller than the size chart says. I'm 5'9" and 185 pounds. I ordered a size 32 as per the size chart and it was so small I couldn't fit it over my knees. I had to send it back and order a size 36 which fits perfectly. I recommend ordering 2 sizes larger from the chart.

Most durable suit I have ever owned

Before this suit I wore lycra bottoms and they lasted 4-5 months because they just couldn't swim long. I bought these and the first one lasted just under a year (I swim an average of 8-10,000 meters a week). It fits great, stays tight all the time and is easy to clean/remove. I would highly recommend it to any competitive swimmer.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Crumpled

I'm just buying a suit.

I swim a lot (300 miles a year) and these last. As with any suit, some of the threads turn a little white in the chlorine and so I usually change them out and I get a little tired of them after a while, but that's not because they're kinda failing. As with any suit, if you're sitting on a concrete deck they'll wear out and get a hole, but if you're swimming, no problem.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Somewhat wrinkled

I like speedometers in general

I like speedometers in general. They are good quality and last longer than most. On this particular suit the stitching between colors/seams seemed to unroll quickly (see image - should be able to see the unaffected area and then move on to the affected area). While the structure of the suit is not compromised, the stitching is strong. The suit just doesn't look as good as it should because it's less than 6 weeks old.

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Can't remember

The seams fray; uncomfortable fit

As a long time Speedo wearer this generation of jammer suits was disappointing. Something is definitely wrong with the stitching. After a few weeks of swimming, it becomes difficult for you to know if the suit fits you properly because the seams unravel. Also, the fit doesn't seem right - this particular material isn't very forgiving and the suit doesn't seem to stretch to conform to your specific body shape.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Not bad

Although the waist is great the legs are too tight on my quads

bought this because I had a pair of 34s that fell off my waist thought a size down might help. Unfortunately, while the waist is great, the legs are too tight on my quads, leaving a ring of pain over my kneecap after 30 minutes of swimming. On the other hand, they convinced me to switch to underpants and that turned out to be the best thing for me. If you trust yourself, there is no more comfortable swimsuit than briefs. I don't think I'll ever go back to Jammers, but to each their own.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Compatibility

I used to buy endurance swim trunks because they lasted forever - for example my previous pair was 12+ months old when I had to buy a new one due to the fabric stretching and peeling and i swim every day This time I bought a new pair in January, and in July they were practically abandoned in many places due to the poor quality of the seams and threads. I hope it's great quality and the second pair I have will last as long as the last one but Speedo/Revain really should have refunded the…

Pros
  • Still happy so far
Cons
  • I'm writing back

I want to stress that this is "sold by Amazon" and not a third party. My family has been using the speedometer for over 10 years, so I tend to think it is fake. I bought the blue one in December 2019 and wrote a 5 star review. I then bought the green one in December 2020 and it was the worst Speedo we've ever had. The stitching has become very fluffy in many places, especially between dark green and black, and also between black and black. It's definitely not up to Speedo's standard, or any…

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • No execution
