Worked great until it broke

This cutter worked great the first few times. He carved beautiful clean lines. I really want it. Then it broke after a few uses. So yeah, it worked great until it broke. And it was really quick.

Clear cut for cover rosette

I used this to cut the rosette on the body of a classical guitar, Engelmann spruce. It was a very clean cut that allowed me to sneak up on the OD and ID of the outlet. Very happy with the results and the cleanliness of this bit.

Not bad, wish they were a little longer.

The milling cutters are quite good for their price. They don't cut as cleanly as the more expensive ones, but overall the quality is pretty good. The only issue I had was that the length was a bit short for my CNC machine so I couldn't cut as deep as I wanted.

a cheap break is a small price

CNC insert. It's used on the CNC on Oak and runs slow at around 40 fpm at 0.05 depth. When the oak has knots, slow down to 30 fpm at 0.03 depth. If not a little, it will break very easily. On pine and other softwoods 60 fmp at 0.06, anything faster than that bit will break. I bought a pair from Amazon and used them for about 8 hours. Lowe's 1/8 bits last 20 times longer than the $3 more expensive bits.

Pros
  • parts and accessories for milling machines
Cons
  • slightly cracked

Rugged and Accurate The Best of Milling Parts & Accessories

Used to mill a 3/16" deep circle in 1/2" thick plywood to hold a Lexan insert. The downward cut minimized peeling of the plywood, leaving the edges very clean. The drill showed no signs of wear or overheating, even after over 200 inches of milling. There's always the problem of clearing the material being cut with straight cutters, especially a cutter as narrow as this 1/8" router, but at this depth there were no problems with sawdust ejection - no burning during the Cut noticeable. Excellent…
