I bought this set for a hike. The stakes and hammer are strong and light. Not a single rod was bent or broken. At a campsite, the ground was very hard and the hammer pounded the stakes with no problem. The set is also compact enough to fit in my tent bag. highlighted.

I like that it's a set and comes in a bag so it all stays together. The hammer does a good job driving the stakes into the ground and the hook is handy for pulling the stakes out. The stakes held the posts well on the 10 x 12 tarp (the tarp attaches to my Sprinter van with suction cups). The ropes are thin but strong, and the hook system makes it easy to pull.

A bit pricey for what you get, I found the hammer almost useless for driving pegs in as it isn't heavy enough to apply the force required, but the hook that was attached was great pull out the stakes when it was all over. The quality of the bets and the extra string are the strengths of this package. The extra carry case was good for keeping everything together.

These are great tent pegs. Strong, penetrates the ground easily, does not bend and holds the tent well. The hammer works as it should and makes it easy to get them out of the ground. Also, the included zip ties were needed to replace some that were lost for my tent. Excellent all round. just be careful If you have them in the ground and you walk barefoot, you don't want to step on them. You won't do it again.

We bought this for a recent hike. The hammer was satisfactory, although our rubber mallet was easier to hit the posts. The stakes provided seemed strong but curved where there were slots where you hooked rows or ties. The book on insert removal is amazing! The easiest tool to get any bet. Worth the price, but you might want to consider other plans instead of using them as your primary plan.

Hammer is the only thing I like about this set. The tent's spikes are almost useless as they bend like reeds in the wind. A hit or two and they're crushed due to poor construction. Paracord is paracord. It's thin, it can be used as a rain fly tyer, that's all. The hammer is great. Lightweight, with a nice flat head, a pick of sorts and an excellent hook for retrieving buried pegs. My only regret is that I didn't purchase the hammer separately.

tent poles have 3 adjustment slots and are made from 7075 aluminum so they can take a hard hit without breaking or damaging. The stretch marks reflect the light very well and the stretchers are also made of aluminium. I was very happy with the hammer! It's heavy enough to hit the stakes with good force, but not so heavy that it weighs down your pack! Plus, the attached pull out tent pole hook and blade are an added plus! Overall I am very happy with my purchase!

Went to REI and they don't have a bag with all that stuff - have to buy everything separately. The hammer alone was bigger than this whole bag (and it looks/weighs the same). Contains 10 tent pegs (very light but strong), 4 ropes and 1 fairly strong hammer (has some weight). Orange is a metallic orange, bright and looks just like the photo. It is difficult to rate this set as it consists of three components and they do not perform the same. My overall three star rating is something of an average of three, although weighted primarily by the performance of the hammer/stripper. The good first: The overall quality of the items is good with the possible exception of the pins.
