While cleaning my aquarium, I was able to slide it away from the wall, which gave me the space I thought I needed for the 'gluing' process. With my bathroom scraper, it quickly achieved bubble-free adhesion that lasts 100%. The design I chose gives it a beautiful pond-like setting; shady place. Couldn't be happier - for her sake and her looks.

Wish it was darker. I used to have a black background, but I decided to buy a real background to try and add some depth. Brightness blows everything away. The fish don't look as good, the plants don't look as bright. It just makes everything look wrong. I'll give it a week but I'm pretty sure I'll replace it with something darker or just go back to black. Although it is very easy to cut and install. So he has everything for that.

I like that the sheet has a grid on the back so that it can be easily trimmed. Overlaying a background is almost like putting on a phone screen protector, except the size is much larger. Ten years ago I had a huge paper background aquarium and the only way to save it was with duct tape. And changing the water etc. It ended up looking like shit and we were better off without it. Fast forward and you have these wonderful backgrounds that come in beautiful scenes to your liking and all you have to do is crop (they even lay custom lines and cut!), apply water mist and wipe over, remove credit card or whatever blisters. Great product! It looks great now that it's up, but I've had some difficulties. The directions say to lightly spray the background before applying. When I did, I did as they said and "lightly sprinkled". However, it proved very difficult to flatten the bubbles in the drier areas. After 1 hour of trying to smooth out the bubbles (I'm a perfectionist) I got over it and decided to splash water vigorously on the background and try again. It worked! This is a great backdrop, much better than one that has to be glued or taped on. The picture is very bright and clear. If you carefully follow the instructions, you will get a very good result. Be sure to wet the back of the fish tank and the front of the hook with water. A credit card works very well as a squeegee. I wanted to review because of all the faded/unfaded controversies! I have attached pictures, you can see when you first take it out of the box it looks very faded.
