It just IS after about an hour of use. Bought in March, the return period has long since expired. The line chord has power and the tassels look intact. I'm assuming it's ESC, but that shouldn't be my problem for a tool that's only been around for an hour anyway. Delivery took twice as long as promised. After unpacking the item (it was packed like a doll from 3 boxes) the device seemed light and wobbly, especially in the main handle area, the switches are hard and wobbly, plugged onto the main mandrel that is supposed to handle the grinding wheel, 2 parts of the key fit not 1/4 which should prevent free rotation of the grinding wheel on the mandrel. I've been pleasantly surprised by the SPTA 1200W 110V polisher that I've been using for over two months. There are no assembly instructions, but it's not hard to figure out. The tool has a slow start up to full speed, which is nice since you don't have to deal with sudden torque. I've used it almost every day on clocks with a variety of scraping, prep, and polishing drums (including Eastwood's) on projects ranging from stripping project cars to restoring brass furniture, and it showed no signs…
