From the regulation. For installation in or near service equipment. From the instructions. Cut the wires as short as possible. No sharp turns. A little twist is good. A breaker is not required. From me. The lines are approximately 21 inches long. If you notice the green light is off, replace the device. He sacrificed himself to protect your belongings.

We were struck by lightning about three weeks after I…

. The impact damaged several other appliances in the house and this arrester showed a hit but my pump and pump controller were not damaged. I ordered some spares as we have frequent lightning strikes and previously had to replace both the pump and controller which cost a significant amount of money.

Good value for spikes and surges!

As a utility worker in South Florida, I have always experienced many flashes of light. I needed extra protection so I installed it on the closest inlet to my powder source which was on the load side/bottom of my gauge jack. The utility offers spike protection, but for $9 a month it pays for itself in about 5 months and lasts me about 4 years! Fairly good quality with very good hard 12/10 solid copper wire 2 feet long. The only problem is that the light is very dim and you can only see it from…

Cost effective protection

I bought this to fit on our Square D 200A main panel. Attaching took less than thirty minutes once I had all the details. This is a great product but the instructions are vague. If you order a mounting kit, it makes sense to install it inside the main bezel. The kit is available separately from Amazon here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DKYOFZ4?redirect=true&ref_=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_4 The mounting kit comes with bracket, end plates, hardware and instructions. On the square D-plate, the…

A mini split air conditioner is installed that controls both the compressor and the sensitive electronics that control the unit on the same line. This type of surge protector was recommended to me and I decided to buy a few. In general, the specifications are good and the price is very affordable for this type of device. Maybe that's overkill in my area because where I live (Las Vegas) the energy is very clean. If you want to know how it works, I found the details in a specific white paper…
