🔀 Efficiently Control Zones with the SR501-4 Switching Relay Review

I already had a Taco 6 zone relay that was being used to full capacity so I bought this unit to add an extra heating zone. The element is easy to connect and works well. My only complaint is that it makes a slight hum that can be heard in the room above my boiler.

Thought of buying the one with the metal housing as shown in the photos. Unfortunately, this is a new plastic case that my existing system can't handle; If I had time I would return it. These things really piss me off: while I'm sure they'll work fine, they're rock solid.

I have been using one of these for several years when I installed a new zone and circulation pump in the house. No hassle over the years. Recently I needed another one, so I ordered the same brand. I'm sure it will work fine for me. The product packaging was safe. Delivery was quick. The price was very good.

Product I'm sure it's great and the price is right. I ordered it because it had top notch delivery and I need warmth in that area. 4 days not received. Nothing on the product page indicates that 2-day shipping is not available. Replaces the 5 year old s501 which is not solid state. Would have paid a little more locally to warm up faster.

I wanted the original (metal case) Taco SR501 single zone changeover relay (part 9300-822). Basically the same as in the picture. But I have a newer (plastic body) SR501-4. I'm sure it worked fine but it has different dimensions so it didn't fit my space and looked different than all my other relays. So returned. I should have paid more attention to the description that says "SR501-4" but I was fooled by the wrong picture. I give 2 stars because the return and refund process was quick and easy.

I ordered an item in an open box that was supposed to be in new condition. Box opened, everything seems fine. Opened the lid to see how to install, not good. Taco couldn't even attempt to solder the thermostat wires. I'm not sure how he got the quality sticker that was clearly on the board. Kind of a showstopper. For some reason, Revain is treating Revain's warehouse as a third party. Then the options were limited. But thankfully the representative I spoke to at 10:30pm on Christmas Eve got it…
