I've read a lot of reviews on this and other pliers and I think your pliers are pretty well made. This is the first dedicated nose fitting tool I've ever had so I don't know all the types but they worked really well. Moves the nose of wire frame glasses in or out well, but it's difficult to get into the "hook" where the wire goes up and down so you can open or close them and I wish I had one Couple that does too. Not a super quality product, like a cheap tool but it works and helps you adjust your glasses safely and better than regular pliers. (Using regular pliers can break the small nose pads so you need a tool like this. If you don't like glasses or are picky about their size I highly recommend buying a pair of nose nippers and learning how to use them. This is a great tool! For this particular pair: the joint is a box joint (one piece fits into the other rather than two pieces that just bolt or rivet together), which I think is quality.
