I have African Grey. I was very happy with the size of this mug. I bought 3 of these for different uses, one for water, one for seeds and one for fruit. My African Gray is very smart so I had to make a small adjustment to prevent the food bowl from popping out too easily. My bird figured out how to push it out of the holding area in 5 minutes. But just squeeze the holding area to make the cup fit more tightly. It works well.

This is a good bowl. Easily removed from the cage for cleaning and filling. My bird loves it. The only problem with this was that when I first got it I cleaned it and then as it dried I noticed that some gray powdery material was peeling off the sides. I had to wash a few more times before it was all gone. If I hadn't noticed, my bird might have drunk it, and I'm not sure what would have happened. So, be sure to wash them thoroughly before use.

I needed a small plate because I took a cockatoo and we are working on a routine. She likes chamomile tea before bed. Instead of her drinking mine from my cup, I make something and share it with her and she runs to her cage for tea. I see if she was in more pain she might take the metal cup off the ring and drop it. but she doesn't and doesn't, so maybe she can't. In any case, it's durable and perfect, and just what I needed for light housekeeping and bedtime tea with a bun (I'm a 10oz size).
