Stainless Steel Measuring Spoons 10 Piece Review

Bought these to replace the dented and dented stainless steel measuring cups I've had for decades. I unpacked it and was surprised at its weight. They feel very durable and high quality. I put them in the dishwasher before putting them away. They have never been used, washed once in the washing machine and they are already rusting. The quality of the stainless steel is bad. I doubt they will last long as the spot welds are starting to rust.

False advertising! Definitely not stainless steel. And if so, then this is the cheapest steel on the market. It's so thin I can crumple it up without much effort. If I hadn't been desperately looking for the measuring cups/spoons I would have sent them back. I left my set at work and they are closed due to covid19. So I got stuck with it. Cheaper than expected. Tried to scoop 1/2 cup of flour out of container and handle was completely bent. The daughter also tried a different size, and the grip came off almost immediately - and she was careful. They were used several times and suddenly one of them had a splinter that we didn't see stuck in my daughter's finger - hurting her and upsetting her. She is 9 years old and will not use them anymore although she loves to cook. Do not use on children.

I looked at many measurements before purchasing these and they exceeded my expectations. I replaced my old measuring cups because the markings were worn out, this will never be a problem. Not only are the sizes laser engraved on the handles of the spoons and cups, they are also embossed on the side of the measuring cups, and 1 cup is marked 3/4 and 1/2 cup on the side, so it's essentially 3 Measuring cup in 1. I am very happy with this set.

These measuring cups are rough metric approximations of US measurements. For example, 1 cup is printed on the mug as 1 cup and 250ml. The problem is that 1 cup measures 8oz, not 8oz. If you check the measurement, it's much larger than 1 actual US cup, so the metric measurement is the actual size, not the US measurement. All measuring cups and spoons have this problem. You can't get the right measurements for your recipes with these measuring cups.

Serious bakers should be warned that these products were not designed for the heavy-duty brand names you are accustomed to. I wouldn't buy them again. They got such good reviews that I thought I'd found an unbranded product that would be just as good as the better brands we're all familiar with.
